Celebrate the little things is something I say and do a lot. I think it is so important to celebrate small victories in your life to empower yourself to feel good. Having that proud feeling is something you should feel early and often. When you celebrate the little moments in life, you inspire bigger moments to happen. The little moments matter more than the big moments really.
For example, it's not everyday that someone graduates, or gets a promotion, or has the game winning goal. However there are little moments that lead up to each of those moments such as, acing a test, nailing your presentation to colleagues, or assisting a teammate in practice in the last 5 minutes. That being said there are even smaller moments that should be celebrated before the "leading up to" or medium moments above happen, like studying really hard for that test, researching the target market and preparing your presentations from all aspects, and practicing that same feed, cut, and shot in drills days before.
Seriously, like really little things people need to be more proud of themselves for accomplishing. Making your bed right when you wake up, attempting to cook yourself a real meal, putting sunscreen on before laying out, doing the laundry and or dishes, forcing yourself to work out; whatever it may be, just take an extra second to think about it, that you actually did it, and smile. Like, don't think I'm not celebrating my half birthday today, yea I said it. H1/2BDCJ.
All of those moments are significant because they led you to the bigger moments that others remember. Your grandma might not remember how much you studied and then got an A on your big test, but you should. Your boss might not know how much effort when into your presentation and how it felt to deliver it, but you should. And the newspaper interviewing you after the big win mostly likely wouldn't know how much you've practiced what to do when you're in that situation in a game, but you should. Celebrate the little accomplishments in your life, for they will one day become the foundation of your greatest achievements.
