This one might be one of the biggest statements for me because I truly believe that confidence is one of the most important things people need in life in order to be happy. Confidence is when you are yourself and you accept that. Confidence can vary but having that internal confidence that you love who you are because you are who you are, is what makes confidence so contagious.
Having confidence doesn't mean I have to be the best at everything I do, but it means I can own however good I am. I can be confident in the fact that I am mediocre at things. I am confident in the fact that I am below average at many things. Confidence is about owning who you are. I love confidence because it comes and goes depending on the situation we are in. I believe that confidence is key to success in life. The more confidence one has, the more opportunities they will be presented. The more opportunites given, the more likely one will have a choice to do what makes them happy.
Being confident is underrated and needs to be developed within young people to then carry into their adult lives. People also need to know that confidence isn't hard to attain; all you need is to know who you are and be satisfied with that. That might seem hard for some people because they might not "like themselves" but when with that mind set, it is important to dig deeper if you will. What I mean by digging deeper, I mean looking more into what life is truly about, which, in my book, isn't about what you look like or how much money you have, but about happiness. And happiness is whatever you believe it to be; that's why confidence is easier to gain than people make it to be.
