Happy Sunday. I woke up this morning feeling at peace. Maybe it was the message in church or the hour conversation with my best friend or the long run I went on, but I was simply overwhelmed with an emotion. It was the feeling of being I am happy with where I am in my life. Then it struck me that I was feeling a sense of patience. I was no longer nervous, anxious, or worried about my life and what I was doing with it, but I was content with understanding that it was all out of my control. There is a bigger plan in place, and trusting that was exactly what I felt.
Being patient is the understanding that when something is supposed to happen in your life, it absolutely will, but when the time is right. The problem people face today and wanting everything right now and forget that sometimes good things take time. Patience means you've stopped worrying about the future and let go of all the anxieties about things that haven't happened yet. You are only one small human being in this universe, that comprehension alone should give you some sort of peace, knowing that you don't have to put everyone or everything on your shoulders.
Finding patience let's us live more in the moment and let's things happen on their own terms. This doesn't mean you stop fighting for what you want and working hard as hard as you can to get there, it just means you are able to trust and wait for things to happen when they're supposed to. Whether it's a career, a spouse, or a family, just trust the process, because you'll one day understand that there was a reason for it to come when it did, and it will be worth the wait.
